Kathleen I. Wolary, 82, of Wilmington, died 10:05 p.m. Saturday (May 27, 2006) at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Francis Wolary. They were married June 14, 1952.

Mrs. Wolary was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Xenia, daughter of the late John and Helen Walsh O’Connor. She worked as a secretary in the base supply division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for 10 years before her marriage. She was a member of the St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Wilmington, Sacred Heart Sodality, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She graduated in June 1941 from St. Brigid School in Xenia.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John (Debbi) Wolary of Milford and James (Nancy) Wolary of Wilmington; a daughter, Therese (Robert) Claymier of Delaware, Ohio; three brothers, John O’Connor of Xenia, Maurice O’Connor of Xenia and Larry O’Connor of Xenia; six grandchildren, Benjamin Claymier, Paul Claymier, Chad Wolary, Zachary Wolary, Katelyn Wolary and Christopher Wolary; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Wolary, who died at birth in 1958, and a sister, Mary Ellen Schaumleffel.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 73 N. Mulberry St., Wilmington, the Rev. James M. Wedig officiating, with burial in St. Brigid Cemetery in Xenia. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the REYNOLDS-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 327 N. South St., Wilmington.
