Col.
Robert "Bob" Strubhar Yeck, USAF (Ret.), 73, passed away February 26,
2007. Bob was born March 14, 1933 in Lakewood,
OH to Raymond D. and Ruth
(Strubhar) Yeck. A witty, gentle and patient man who flew many years as a
Navigator for the US Air Force flying several planes including: B-52, C-119,
C-121, and his personal favorite C-130 Hercules, logging over 8,000 hours in
all planes and a military career that spanned over 35 years. Originally from Lakewood, Ohio
he considered himself a semi-native Floridian. He was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan
University and Florida International
University. Dad treasured
classical music, specifically Mozart, college football (torn between Ohio State
and U of Miami Hurricanes), cherished sailing, grilling, reading, nature and
more. A husband, a father, a grandfather and dear friend to many, Dad was a
generous man who loved us all; you could tell by the smile on his face and the
twinkle in his beautiful blue eyes. May you rest in peace. Service 10:00AM at
